  dot EARLY YEARS STUDY 2: Putting Science into Action
26 March 2007 - The Council for Early Child Development published today the much anticipated Early Years Study 2: Putting Science into Action, a follow up to the 1999 Mustard/McCain Early Years Study, a groundbreaking report that recommended an integrated system of community-based early child development and parenting centres linked to the school system. This second report focuses on the scientific evidence supporting the importance of early learning and care as it relates to childhood development.

dot MAKE CHILDREN FIRST'S SUPPORT FOR THE NEW EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION DIPLOMA PROGRAM - Press Release
8 Mar 2007 - Northwest Community College is launching an Early Childhood Education diploma program that is receiving a helping hand from Terraces’ Make Children First Initiative (MCFI).

MCFI has donated $10,000 for bursaries and scholarships. $6,000 in total will be allocated to student bursaries, based on financial need, with $4,000 going toward scholarships based on academic achievement and effort. Read more.

When parents and community members connect with children they help them with these needs. This connectedness creates a bond that establishes trust, healthy relationships and an improved quality of life.
