There are many social issues facing people in our community. Terrace Make Children First Network was pleased to present candidates running for the Terrace City Council with a set of questions and topics compiled in collaboration with organizations and non-profit agencies who provide services mainly for children, youth and families in our region: from Kitsumkalum to Gitaus. Read the compilation of the issues.
We invited candidates to review the document and provide us with their position and plans to address these. This is not a comprehensive list of all that can be done in Terrace but addressing those issues will put us on a path to healthy prosperous community that is both welcoming and inclusive.
Questions were submitted from members of Terrace Make Children First Network, Terrace Inter-Agency, and Terrace - Kitimat Service Delivery Network.
This has been a truly challenging task. Some candidates were not able to send us their answers due to email problems. Others were not able to complete all the questions due to lack of time.
We truly appreciate that all candidates made the effort to answer our questions. It wasn't an easy task as you can see.
We would like to thank all candidates for answering or attempting to answer.
We hope that this is a beginning of closer collaboration with our elected leaders.
