Terrace Make Children First Initiative

Series of Community Development Workshops 2007
  Community Development and You!

Learning Initiative for Rural and Northern BC (LIRN BC)
Linking economic, environmental, cultural and social planning, networking and action.

The workshop was held on March 3, 2007 in Terrace.

Participants came from different backgrounds and brought diverse points of view which enriched the dialogues. Everyone was encouraged to bring "all their hats and passions" into the mix.

The event was facilitated by Scott Graham of SPARC BC. Scott did an excellent job in presenting the issue and setting up the parameters of the day. He helped us summarize and prioritize. Scott kept us on track and on time. Thank you, Scott!

So, what where the main priorities identified?

1. Education and Action for Environmental Sustainability

2. Education and Action for Enhancing Activities for People across the Life Span

3. Toward a Detox Centre for Terrace and Safe, Sound, Sanitary Affordable
Housing

4. Toward an Economically Viable and Culturally Vibrant Terrace.

This is just a start. Would you like to be involved and kept informed? Let us know.
